Chalkboard Technique

This is the card my April stamp clubs will be making.  We will be using the scallop trim border and corner punches for the focal point matte. Using the Inspired by Nature stamp set, ink the stamp with the whisper white craft pad.  Use the chalks (Stampin'Up! pastels) to color the image, then wipe with a swiffer cloth.  The Finial Press embossing folder was run through the Big Shot for the texture on the black.  Order $50 before tax and shipping,  by March 31st, and receive a FREE free Sale A Bration stamp set, scallop trim border punch, or designer paper pad!

My stamp club gals made this card some time ago.  It actually is very easy.  Want to have a workshop and make this card? Chalkboard Technique

I think this is also called a Black Magic technique.  Either way, this is my first time to try it.  First you stamp with a bold image with Craft Whisper White pigment ink on dark cardstock.  Then you can either use your chalks (Stampin'Pastels) or watercolor pencils (both sold on Page 154 of the Stampin'Up! catalog) to color your image.  No heat setting.  Just wipe your cardstock with a swiffer cloth afterward.  Here I used Lovely Lilac, Summer Sun, and Basic Black cardstock.  Inspired by Nature and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets were used for the image and greeting. Also used the Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder.  I am not sure which one I like the best.  This is for a swap I am participating in.  Feel free to leave a comment with your choice!

Lattice Die Candle

Lisa Flemming, a Stampin'Up! demonstrator, shared this candle creation she made using the exclusive Stampin'Up! Lattice die that I have been playing with all week.  Here are her details on how she made this beautiful candle!  Thank you, Lisa, for sharing! Her blog, www.peanutsandpaperspapercrafting.com has a very detailed tutorial on making this.

"To make the candle, I used metal adhesive paper and the Lattice Die in the Big Shot Machine. For this size candle, it took 3 pieces of Lattice which I trimmed so the ends would meet. I then used the paper piercer to punch holes for the Rhinestone Brads. The embellishment on the top is simply the negative from the Lattice Die. ****Note - I did use glue dots to make the lattice stick a little bit more because of the candle wax."

Special Blessings

This uses the Special Blessings stamp set which is great for First Communion, Baptism, wedding, etc.  The thank you is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Colors are Gable Green, Green Galore, Whisper White, and of course, chocolate chip.  Chocolate goes with EVERYTHING! I also used the modern label and word window punches and the Beautiful Wings embosslit. I did a little sneaky trick with the layered punches to make them smaller. . . .  I had a request for a religious card using bright greens. I do take orders for cards and I try to honor your requests.

Lattice Die Birthday Card

I definitely used the Big Shot on this card!  It uses the lattice die, perfect polka dots embossing folder, and simple flower embosslit.  The leaves are from the 5 petal punch (just cut 2 petal points off together). Also uses the scallop oval, large, and small oval punches.  The stamp set is Teeny Tiny Wishes, a must have stamp set for $36.95.  Add a $15.95 punch to your order, and you can choose a FREE Sale A Bration item (scallop trim border punch, stamp set (about 75 to choose from), or designer series paper pad.  The Sale a Bration freebies end March 31st.  Colors used on this card are Bashful Blue, Old Olive,  black and whisper white.  Circle Ice Rhinestone brads are the flower centers.
