Easel Card

This card was made by Anna Patterson, a demonstrator in my downline.  We had our monthly downline meeting last night and this was her swap.  We swap every month, and share ideas. Robin showed us a cool technique, brayering over newspaper horoscopes, and Sarah demonstrated fabric pins made with the Big Shot die cutting machine.  Talk to me if you would like to join my team! Friday Family Fun/Facts/Fotos (yeah, I know it is Photos but wanted the F)

I am going to try and post family tidbits on some Fridays.  I will still post a Stampin'Up! sample also during that day.  Okay for my lst day for a family fact, here goes!  My hubby and I have 18 grandchildren.  We do have 8 kids, 5 married.  Since we just had a high school graduation last weekend, here are a few of photos of Katie.  Am already sad to have her move on, but we still have one more at home.She will be going to the University of SD, pre dentistry, and is already on the college dance team so I will still get to watch her perform!

Double Embossing, Sample 3

Still playing, but just changing colors around.This card also uses the elegant bouquet and square lattice embossing folders.  The sentiment is from the Oval All stamp set from Stampin'Up! Please bookmark my blog, www.starzlstamps.com and check out all my projects. 

Another Double Embossed Sample

I am still using the Razzleberry Lemonade designer series paper and the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder from Stampin'Up!  The indented side is brayered with versamark and the designer paper is laid face down (the side you want showing on your card).  Run it through the Big Shot, sprinkle with black embossing powder, heat and watch the magic happen!  Colors on this card are Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White.  The sentiment is from the Thank you Kindly stamp set.  The Melon Mambo piece is textured with the Square Lattice Embossing folder from the Summer Mini.  The 5/8" black satin ribbon is gorgeous and finishes the card!

Stamp a Stack

Since I showed a card yesterday for the Stamp a Stack I will be doing in Alabama next month, I thought I would show all 5 cards.  Most have all been posted here already.  If you are in the Anniston area, maybe you can attend! Thoughts and Prayers

I designed this for a stamp a stack that I will do in ALABAMA! We can also do this card at your workshop if you want!  This is super simple and fast! This card uses the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. You could also use any sentiment so it could be birthday, sympathy, thank you, etc.  I used Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.

Graduation Card, Color Inspiration

I copied the layout from Karen Rossiter, a member of a Yahoo group, Just For Demos.  My daughter chose these colors for a graduation gift and wanted a card to match.  I think I did pretty good.  Colors used are Green Galore (retiring), Night of Navy, and tempting Turquoise. This card uses the Go, Graduate stamp set from Stampin'Up!'s Summer Mini catalog.  It also uses the square lattice embossing folder for the texture on the right side. 

Double Embossing Technique

Thanks to Patty Bennett for posting this technique on her blog.  This is such a wow!  I brayered the indented side of the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder with versamark.  Then I placed the side of the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP that I wanted to show, face down on the versamark side.  Next, I ran it through the Big Shot, then covered my paper with black embossing powder, heated it, and Wow!, what a cool effect! I used the Oval All stamp set for the greeting along with the scallop, large, and small oval punches.

Graduation Card for a dancer

This uses the Happy Grad stamp from the Starmpin'Up! Summer Mini Catalog.  It also uses the retired En Pointe stamp set. Colors are Basic Black, Brushed Silver, Real Red, and Very Vanilla.  I used the "I am so proud of you" stamp from the Go, Graduate stamp set, also from the Summer Mini for the inside. I also did this card with Whisper White instead of the Very Vanilla, and liked that really well.   This came
together pretty quickly.  I just made 13 of them this morning, along with 18 more Graduation invites for my daughter.
