I stamped with the Gently Falling stamp set in More Mustard, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso ink. This uses the packing paper from your Stampin'Up! order and is die cut with the Scallop Square Bigz Die. I cut this longer by folding back the top so it wouldn't cut the top or the bottom fold. The turkey image is from the Gift Givers stamp set and is punched with the Curly label punch. I left the top cajun craze cardstock unstamped but was thinking you could put each person's name on it if you wished instead of place cards.
I used the Gift Givers stamp set from the Holiday Mini, page 39. This is a very versatile set with different images for different holidays using different punches. The Gently Falling stamp set, also from the mini, pages 16 & 17, is a beautiful two step stamping set. Colors used are Early Espresso, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard. I used the Scallop Square Bigz Die to cut the packing paper, stamped it, snailed the edges, and then ran it through the crimper. A regular size Kit Kat bar fits nicely inside.
This is a work in progress. It just doesn't have that "something" yet. This set is in the Holiday Mini, page 23. Maybe I will emboss with the pewter embossing powder instead of the Cherry Cobbler. I stamped the background words in Crumb Cake, and then stamped the Joy with versamark, embossing with the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. The card base is Whisper White with layers of Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake, and the cardstock vellum is embossed with the Snow burst embossing folder.
I am using a new stamp set, the new Silver glimmer paper, the new Snow Burst embossing folder, and the new Pewter embossing powder. Decided to try a white on white with silver. This is really pretty and elegant looking in person but it didn't come across that way in the photo. I also used the Scallop Oval and extra large oval punches, and the Basic Rhinestones. I hope you like it. We just may do this card in one of the upcoming Christmas card classes.
I embossed the image with the Pewter embossing powder, and using my blender pen, colored it with Old Olive, Marina Mist, and Riding Hood Red. The card base is Very Vanilla, and it is embossed with the Snow burst embossing folder from the Holiday Mini. The stamp set is from the main Stampin'Up! catalog on page 31. I am hoping to play with it more this afternoon. I did this for the sketch challenge on the Clean & Simple site.
Stamping tonight. Do you like this card? I am trying to decide if I want to use it for a Christmas Card Class. I used Garden Green and Early Espresso markers for the tree. The eyelet border punch was used on the side, #119853, $15.95. The Snowburst embossing folder, #124096, $7.95, page 33 of the Holiday Mini was run through the Big Shot for the textured background. I added a strip of the Frostwood Lodge designer series paper on the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set, page 164 of the big Stampin'Up! catalog. I am still taking sign ups for my card classes. If you would like the flier sent to you, please let me know.
I am loving both of these stamp sets and the Spice Cake Designer Paper, all from the Holiday Mini. The leaf is stamped using the baby wipe technique. I put drops of Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango, and More Mustard reinkers onto a folded baby wipe, making that be my ink pad. I stamped the solid leaf image with the baby wipe. Then I stamped the outline image with Early Espresso. Then I cut the leaf out (gasp-I dislike cutting but it really was fine). Then the pretty part - I dabbed the leaf with a sponge coated with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. It really is striking in real life. The "ribbon" is a strip of the Spice Cake fabric. Cardstock colors are Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, and Pool Party. Yankton stamp club members will be making this tomorrow night. This is the first round of another stamp club and we have openings. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month at my home, each member taking turns at being hostess, and you commit to purchasing $15 subtotal every month! What a deal!
I tried to keep this really simple, so it is mostly white on white. I may add some smaller textured circles but I am done playing for the night. This sentiment is from the Hand-Penned Holidays stamp set from the Holiday Mini, and the stamped image is from the Christmas Lodge stamp set, also in the mini. I ran the circle through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst embossing folder, page 33 of the Holiday Mini, $7.95, #124096. I used Garden Green and Early Espresso markers on the image, and Cherry Cobbler ink for the sentiment. Then I thought it needed just a little something in the empty corner of the image layer, so added the Basic Rhinestone. I also used the decorative label punch.

Here are a couple of samples. I mixed Champagne Shimmer Paint with More Mustard and Soft Suede reinkers, and then painted the leaves. I first inked the stamp with Pear Pizzazz, then dabbed the shimmer paint directly on the stamp for the green leaves. I did one drop shimmer to one drop reinker. The sentiment is from the Hand-Penned Holidays stamp set from the Holiday Mini, page 15. It has beautiful script, 4 stamps, "With Love", "Give Thanks", "Happy Halloween", and "Merry Christmas". See the Spice Cake designer series paper and the coordinating Spice Cake fabric? These are also in the mini, pages 17 and 18. Cardstock colors are Very Vanilla, Pool Part, and Soft Suede.
A close up, but it is still hard to see the shimmery look.
