Christmas Card Class samples

Card Class samples from last night's class.  We used the Watercolor Winter stamp set for the 2 cards on the left.  The top left was my convention card swap.  The bottom left was inspired by Dawn Olchefske.  The top right I designed using the Scentsational Season stamp set and the coordinating Holiday Collection framelits.  This is available as a bundle in the Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog.  This also uses the Be of Good Cheer designer series paper.  The bottom left uses the Snow Festival designer series paper, also in the Holiday Catalog.  The snowflake was made using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die, page 14 of the Holiday Catalog.  Colors on this card are Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy.  Other colors for the cards are Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White.  Sentiments are from the Greetings of the Season stamp set, page 8 of the Holiday, and Teeny Tiny Wishes for the gingerbread man card.  There are still 2 Christmas Card classes, Oct. 23rd and Nov. 27th.  $15 per class, 12 cards, 3 each of 4 designs.  $10 of the class fee is refunded with a $35 minimum subtotal order.  This also includes envelopes that you can stamp to match your card!

Evergreen Stamp set

Yes, I have been busy stamping!  It is great therapy, really it is!  I designed this card for a swap I am participating in when we go to Hilton Head later this week.  Do you like it?  The card base is Very Vanilla, with pieces of Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Chocolate chip cardstock.  I then stamped the tree with Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  The sentiment on the side is from the More Merry Messages stamp set, page 15 of the big Stampin'Up! catalog.  The tree is from the Evergreen Stamp set, page 18 of the Holiday Catalog.   I then finished it off with the Basic Rhinestones.  I hope this card is swap worthy of Hilton Head Island Achievers!  I am so excited for this trip, my first ever earned FREE Stampin'Up! trip! 

Owl Punch art, Pirate

This card is for one of my swaps that I am participating in when we got to Hilton Head Island, courtsey of Stampin'Up!  I love Stampin'Up!  Just saying. . .   Okay, this card is stamped with the Open Sea stamp set for the background on the Crumb Cake layer.  The pirate is made all with the Owl Builder punch with the exception of the peg leg. This was punched with the Cupcake Builder punch and is the candle!  The card base is Very Vanilla, with layers of Basic Black and Crumb Cake.  The striped "shirt" is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Pack, page 20 of the Holiday Catalog for $6.95.  This pad has 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs, 4/12" x 6 1/2".  This card and 6 x 6 Instruction Guide sheet is part of September's Punch Art class, and is on its way if you participated in the Class by Mail or joined my Latte Ladies team this month!

More Owl Punch Art, Halloween Pumpkin

This uses the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  This paper can be used for a variety of projects because not one single sheet is specific to Halloween!  I used the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to make the notches on the Basic Black layer.  Besides the Owl Builder Punch, I used the 1" Circle Punch for the pumpkin, the Bird Builder Punch for the leafy stem, and then the Pennant Builder Punch and 3/4" circle punch for the pumpkin "lid".  The eyes and nose are also done with the Pennant Builder Punch.  And the mouth is all my own creation.  Can you figure it out?  I punched a black piece with the Postage stamp punch, and then took a bite out of the square with the 3/4" circle punch!  Nifty idea if I do say so myself!  Then I used the Googly Eyes (only $2.50 for 50, page 27 of the Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog).  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  If you participated in the Punch Art class by mail, you will receive this card, with the 6 x 6 Instruction Guide sheet.  Or if you joined my Latte Ladies team this month, you will also receive September's Punch Art sets!  Be watching your mail!

I love, love, love a card I designed tonight. Trying to decide if I should post it or not because I just may use it for a swap when I get to Hilton Head Island next week. Nurse Owl Punch card

Punch Art Class participants will be making or getting this card to go along with their Instruction 6 x6 punch guide sheet.  It is hard to see but the white layer is textured with the Stripes Embossing folder.  Again, my tip is to punch out your circle and modern label pieces from the Baja Breeze layer, thus saving you on cardstock.  Inspiration for the nurse came from Victoria Rogers, but the card design is mine.  This class is available by mail to US addresses only for $23/month and this includes shipping to you, three 6 x 6 instruction guides for your album, and 3 completed full size cards.  This option is free when you place a $35 subtotal order through me.  This class is tomorrow night and Oct./Nov. dates are on a previous post.  Attendees pay $15 or class is free with a $30 subtotal order.

Toxic Treats

Really they aren't "toxic" but that is the name of the stamp set I used on a couple of these treat favors.  I used the new Oval Accent Bigz Clear die, page 192 of the big Stampin'Up! catalog.  I can die cut probably 4 of these at a time.  Then on one I ran through again with the Spider Web embossing folder, and brushed it with the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad.(Holiday Catalog pg 23)  It is like a Versamark Pad but with a little shimmer to it.  I also used the new 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon (holiday catty, pg 26).  I did a side view so you can see that I scored each one so that they will stand on their own.  The witch was stamped with Black stazon and cut with the Labels Collection framelits.  OMG, I see that I forgot to attach the Googly Eyes on my spider from the Googly Ghouls stamp set, page 27 of the Holiday catty.  Well, pretend they are there cuz I will attach them as soon as I am done here, lol.  Notice the notched corners of the Trick or Treat sentiment? I did each corner using the small circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch.  Sneaky, huh?  The ticket corner punch retired but this works just as great don't you think?  Getting ready for our monthly downline meeting tomorrow night.  I think all will get to make these favors!

Owl Punch Art for Upcoming Class!

Punch Art Class

In this class you’ll create 6 x 6 reference pages, which will contain the instructions on how to create all the little creatures, people and more punch art things than you can imagine!

Make three different punch art samples, two of each design. One will be added to a finished card and the other will be put onto a 6x6 sheet of cardstock with the punched pieces as a guide.  This way you can reference it and duplicate it again and again.  Stampin' Up! has the most amazing punches!  Now you can learn loads of new ideas for using them.

This month’s class will be the 3^rd Thursday of the month, September 20th, then October 18th, and November 15^th.. Classes are from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and the monthly cost is $15 or FREE with a $30.00 product order. ($35 subtotal for orders that I will have to ship).  Class location is my home.   Don't forget to bring your own adhesive and scissors to class.

Please register by Tuesday, Sept. 18th!. Live too far away to attend?   You can still participate!  The cost is $22 and this includes shipping, the 3 finished 6 x 6 instruction guides and the 3 sample cards.  If you pay by paypal, the cost is $23 because of the fees.

Open Sea stamp set, Challenge 190

This definitely is a challenge!  We could use one layer which is the card base and had to use a technique.  This is the late night stamper's Challenge 190.  My card base is Very Vanilla, then I masked using the Window Frames Collection framelits (from the Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog, page 30), sponging with Pool Party ink.  Then I stamped the image and the sentiment with Island Indigo.  Easy Peasy!  The sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set, one of my go to sets!
