This week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge:  A challenge that everyone loves to enter: "anything goes".  But just  to make it interesting, Heidi Weaver who has designed the challenge added "with holly".  What does that mean?    Simply put, it is whatever you want it to be.  Share a new technique or an old one.  Share a 3-D project.  Share a mixed media project.  Share a card, a scrapbook page, new wall decor.  Make it totally your own without a sketch direction, a color direction or a theme/inspiration direction.  BUT it has to have holly somewhere, whether you stamp it, cut it out, punch it out, use a die, etc.  There has to be holly in your project. Now for my submission!  Deb Valder did this technique with the Butterfly Thinlits so I experimented with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits.  They coordinate with the Embellished Ornaments stamp set and can be purchased as a bundle in the Holiday Catty!  Page 15.

 

 

I used the Home for Christmas designer series paper, page 9 of the Holiday catty.  The sentiment is from the A Little Something stamp set, page 41. You need to die cut out of 2 pieces of 2"x5" strips, same pattern facing each other, and use the same pattern for the right of the strip when you adhere to the cardstock layer.  I stamped in the negative by masking.  Save the other strip and ornament cut out for another card!  I made the following card first, then saw the challenge so switched it up to include holly! 

This card used the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack, #139595 $8, page 27.  The sentiment is from the Santa's Gifts stamp set, page 68 of the Stampin'Up! annual catalog.

Coffee Gift, Thanks a Latte stamp set, Snow Place stamp set

I worked on this on Saturday and finally got it figured out to my liking.  I made the "cup" front that is 2.75" x 4".  Make a tic mark 1/4" in on the bottom of each side.  Then place your top corner and a tic mark in the gutter of your trimmer and cut.  Do the same for the other side.  Top with the "mantle" piece from the  Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies.  I used the Corrugated Cardstock from the annual Stampin'Up! catty, #138317, $7, page 148, for the sleeve.  The candy canes are from the Snow Place stamp set and Snow Friends Framelits Dies, page 33 of the Holiday catty.  This is available as a bundle and saves you 15%.  The stamp set is 22 stamps and the dies have 15 dies!  What a deal!  $45 for the bundle, #140844.  I love the July Thanks a Latte Paper Pumpkin kit and that is where my sentiment came from.  It is punched with the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. My box that I attached to the back is a piece of Very Vanilla cs, 3.5" high x 7.5" long, scored at 1.5", 3.5", 5", and 7".  Turn 1/4 turn and score at 1".  Snip for the bottom flaps and remove the smallest scored corner, and fold into a box.  Attach the cup to the front after it is decorated to your liking.  Enjoy!

 

Your Presents stamp set, Gift card or money holder

This stamp set from the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog can be used year round and for many different occasions, and it is a perfect set for "kissing"!  These cards were inspired, cased, tweaked from the talented Mary Bush.  If you look closely, you can see the notched tab "holder" on the bottom card.  The cards were made with the Envelope Punch board, but you could make these without a notched tab if you like.  I made the candies on the inside of the Christmas card with the bow stamp.  Just stamp two, connecting in the middle, and then punch out.  I used the 3/4" punch to make the circles.  My gifts are stamped by themselves or "kissed" with another patterned stamp, and then fussy cut.  I did also fussy cut the bows but it is all easy cutting.  Measurements for the card base are 8.25" x 7"  Score at 3" and 6" on the long side.  Since this is a non standard card size, just use the Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope for the card size of 3 x 7.

Snowman Top Hat Candy favor

I used the Peaceful Pines stamp set and the coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits Dies, which can be purchased as a bundle, saving you 15%.  This is on page 16 of the Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog.  I used the Metallic Foil Doilies and the Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags from the annual catalog.  Love the sentiment on the tree!  It is perfect for this treat favor!  The Christmas Cheer sentiment is from the Cheer All Year stamp set, page 6 of the Holiday catty.

Red Hat Clothespins

Got this into my head to make these and got out so many punches trying to figure one out.  Finally got it done and may still make some changes but these do really look so cute in real life!

 

I used Stampin'Up!'s Red Glimmer Paper and the Owl Builder and Large Oval punches and the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  The Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper circles are punched with the circles from the Cupcake Builder Punch  I hot glued the pieces onto our Clothespins #133764.  The hat brim and flower are Elegant Eggplant. Add a magnet to the back or just clip on a treat favor!  Cute!

Stamp Clubs made the first sample and I had the snow globe one just to share.  The first one I tweaked from a Convention Display, and the 2nd I tweaked from the Stampin'Up! Blog.  I stamped the snowflakes on the backside of the globe, and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I did the same with the globe base, only using Black embossing powder. Cheer All Year Halloween treat favor, Witch's Clothespin Hat

The is a cute Halloween decorated Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag, page 151, #138315, $3.50 for 10 bags.  I used the Cheer All Year stamp set, page 6 of the Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog, #139839, $25, and it includes the bat, the spider, the sentiment, and the "Boo".  It has several more images and a Christmas and Autumn sentiment as well.  Also used the Happy Haunting Washi tape, #139608 $5, and the Spider Web Doilies, #139622, $4.50, both on page 47.  And the Black Glimmer paper is on the same page, #139605, $5.00, and is used for the cute, cute, Witch's hat.  How did I make this?  It uses 2 of the Tree Punches that are hot glued to our 1 3/8" long clothespins.  Then you punch a 1" Circle,  and surround that with the 2.5" Circle Punch. Use more hot glue on the base of the trees, slide the open circle down over the top of the trees, and fold over onto the hot glue.  Janet Baker is the creator of this gem, but they have been popping up all over.  So cute and easy! Oh, and on the inside I have a snack size bag of microwave popcorn that is already Halloween packaged.  Hope you like!
