Hexagon cards made from the Tailored Tag Punch

Do you have the Tailored Tag Punch?  I made this card earlier with the full punch, here.  Making hexagons is another way to use this punch.  I slid the 1.5" strip into my punch, after marking it at the half way spot, 3/4".  I then lined up the top and bottom point of the punch, and then marked my punch with a sharpie, so that I could just insert my designer series paper into the punch, and punch away!  Have fun using different designer series paper.  I used the In Good Taste for my wood look card, and the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper for the 2nd card.  I placed the hexagons on my card layer, then flipped it over to trim the overhang.  Stampin'Up! supplies are below, for both cards.

Prized Peony bundle, Peony Garden Designer Series Paper, Hinge Stamping!

Prized Peony bundle, Peony Garden Designer Series Paper

 

This video shows you how easy this flower is to assemble.  (My very first video EVER, so please be kind).   There are 17 dies in the Peony Die set, so it is a little overwhelming when you first unpack it!  The flower you have to put together, is 4 dies for the actual petal parts.  Lay them out largest to smallest, and when you stack them, you will see that all four bottoms line up together.  I sponged my flower parts, then placed mini glue dots on the bottoms, on the topside that you sponged, and then I slid my 2nd largest inside of the largest, lining up the bottoms that match.  Then repeat with the next largest, and so on.  The center of the flower is a separate die, and it is Petal Pink on this flower.  Just add a glue dot, and slide in.  I was surprised at how easy this is!  The supply list is below.  The bundle is $52, and until August 3rd, you earn a $5 coupon on every $50 subtotal ordered, to be used on your August orders!  If you have this bundle on your wish list, now is a great time to order!  Happy stamping!
