These Slide and Lock cards are addictive! And really not as difficult as you would think! I was inspired by Karen Titus, and Lisa Curcio, who are two very talented Stampin'Up! demonstrators! You can use different sizes for your sliding piece, but mine is 3" x 3", scored in half on two of the 4 squares. Adhere the two folded in half pieces to one of the unscored squares, with the folds meeting in the center, as shown above. Then add your 4th square to the top, and you end up with it looking like photo #6. Decorate as desired for your focal front piece. On my portrait (first card), my card base is 8.5 x 5.5, scored at 2-1/8" from each end on the long side, so that when folded, the ends meet in the center, like a gatefold card. If there isn't a gap, you may have to trim a bit off of one of the sides, but I didn't have to on this card. My base for the 2nd card is 4.25" x 11", scored at 2.75" from each end on the long side. Again they meet in the middle. I did trim a tiny amount off of one end on this card. If it is too close together, the "slider" won't slide up and down. This is my first time to play with the Snailed it Bundle, or the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. This is such a cute bundle. I did use the dies to die cut straight from the designer series paper for the snail and the word bubble. Supplies are below. Just click to order and if you order this bundle from me, I will send you a card made with it. Happy stamping!
